Wilson Bell, LCSW, LCAS

Embarking on the path of self-reflection and positive transformation is no small feat. I understand that taking this initial step is often the most pivotal and recognize the vulnerability it requires. It takes great strength to confront oneself and initiate change. Your willingness to embark on this journey speaks volumes about your courage and commitment to growth.

I believe that creating a safe space for clients always begins with building a foundation of a trust. My approach is through a relational lens so that you can feel comfortable exploring who you are and what no longer serves you. I often work with concerns including trauma, substance use, mood disorders, and thought disorders. My individualized approach focuses on your uniqueness allowing you to discover what positive change looks like in your life, empowering you to cultivate more self-love.

I use a variety of modalities including mindfulness-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with training in polyvagal theory and other trauma-informed approaches as well as a harm reduction approach to substance use concerns.

As a native to mountains of Western North Carolina, I have a deep connection to the area. When I am not in the office, I am letting my high-energy dog burn rubber chasing a frisbee, kayaking one of the many magical rivers in the area, or foraging for mushrooms.
